TEMPORARY ANCHORING DEVICES

At Corsicana Oral & Facial Surgery, we utilize Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADs) that increase the overall efficiency of your orthodontic treatments. TAD systems offer open bite correction, molar distalization, space closure, tooth uprighting, as well as a number of other applications to allow Dr. Medel to customize the direction of force required to move teeth. TADs are temporary miniature surgical screws placed through the gums into the bone that do not move until removed. If your orthodontist recommends you have a Temporary Anchorage Device placed as part of your orthodontic treatment, they will refer you to Dr. Medel for the highest quality care.
