Before Anesthesia Instructions | Corsicana Oral & Facial Surgery

For 8 hours prior to your appointment, do not eat any food or drink any liquids
Cut down on smoking prior to the day of your surgery, and do not smoke at least 12 hours before surgery begins.
You must bring a responsible adult along with you to the office to remain during the procedure and drive you home afterward.
Do not drive a vehicle or operate any machinery for 24 hours after you undergo anesthesia.
Wear loose fitting clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up past the elbow as well as low-heeled shoes.
You must remove all contact lenses, jewelry, and dentures before surgery.
You must not wear lipstick, makeup, or nail polish on the day of your surgery.
Please notify the staff at Corsicana Oral & Facial Surgery if you an illness like a cold, sore throat, or upset stomach.
Check with Dr. Medel prior to your surgery if you take routine oral medications.
